HOUSTON: Uttarayan was celebrated at Swaminarayan Hindu Temple on Sunday, January 17. A beautiful sunny sky, warm weather and perfect breeze made Makar Sankranti festival more enjoyable. Houston city sky was full of vibrant colorful kites. There was live music and plenty of traditional Gujarati snacks to enjoy. It is true there were many new young and old faces on site.
The festival was sponsored by New York Life, Spike Energy, ABG Member (Affordable Buying Group).
The battle for the skies ended late evening with people heading home with beautiful smiles on their faces.
