Chandigarh: Pre-monsoon showers today lashed areas of north-west region, including Haryana, with monsoon entering some parts of Punjab, leading to fall in mercury in the twin states.
Light to moderate rains lashed many parts of Punjab and Haryana today bringing a drop in day temperatures considerably, the Met office in Chandigarh said.
Meanwhile, the humidity levels rose sharply in Punjab and Haryana as at several places it was upto 100 per cent, the MeT said.
Chandigarh MeT Director Surinder Pal said “monsoon had entered some parts of Punjab whereas pre-monsoon marked its arrival in some areas of Haryana.”…
