FRISCO, Texas: Consul General DC Manjunath joined the 250 Years of USA Independence Day celebrations organized by the Indian Association of North Texas (IANT) in Frisco, Texas.

Frisco has been the location of several incidents related to the migration of Indo-Americans to the city, in particular H1-B visa holders. In one of the viral incidents, a protestor tore up the Indian national flag in front of Frisco City Hall. The protestor claimed alleged fraud in the H1-B system that took jobs away from US citizens.
The event brought together Mayor-elect Mark Hill, City Council members, elected representatives, community leaders, and members of the Indian diaspora to commemorate this historic milestone.
Consul General Manjunath conveyed his warm greetings and best wishes to everyone on the 250th anniversary of the independence of the United States, while highlighting the enduring friendship and growing partnership between India and the United States.
CG Manjunath also called upon Mayor-elect Mark Hill at Frisco City Hall and congratulated him. Their discussion focused on strengthening economic cooperation and enhancing people-to-people connect between India and the City of Frisco, including opportunities for investment and community partnerships.
