HOUSTON: Honorable Congresswomen Sheila Jackson Lee conducted a press conference for Comprehensive Immigration Reform at Catholic Charities downtown, Houston. Several community leaders and immigration activists were present at the occasion including Rahman Moton, President of (MACC) and the leaders of others organizations.
“I am Fasting for Immigration Reforms”, these were sentiments expressed by Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, regarding the passing of the Immigration Reform Bill. I am fasting and will fast again until the Comprehensive Immigration legislation is not passed, to establish a path to citizenship for over 11 million undocumented immigrants in this country, as well as protecting the border, as envisaged in HR 1417.
On this occasion, Rahman Moton also expressed his opinion about Immigration Reform and appreciated the Congresswomen for her dedication and commitment towards the community. Moton also congratulated her for completing 20 years in the House of Representative as a Congress women.
